Checking Out the Risks Before you let your dog run around free in the yard, make sure there are no harmful objects, animals, or holes in the fence that could harm your puppy or allow him/her to escape, because after all, they are curious little creatures!
Public Safety Always be careful when taking your puppy or dog to a public area. Make sure you have bags to pick up any mess your dog might make. Be careful as to whom you let your puppy interact with. Make sure your puppy has had it's rabbies and heartworm shots, and that you gave him/her a thourough tick and flea bath!

On the Road Again... Many people take their dogs with them when they drop of their kids in the morning, others take their dogs with them for company, and yet others take them on trips! When taking your dog on a trip in the car, make sure that your dog is fastened securely with a doggy seatbelt, NOT a regular one. If you take your dog on car rides or even bicycle rides when he/she is younger, it will reduce the chance of motion sickness.
